• At least Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford maintains a sense of humor amid all these injuries.
“If anyone else gets hurt, I’m playing,” Clifford joked before the game. “That wouldn’t be pretty.”

The Bobcats played the Golden State Warriors without their two best small forwards – Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (broken hand) and Jeff Taylor (inflamed heel). They also were missing backup center Bismack Biyombo (sprained ankle). Clifford didn’t have a projection when Taylor and Biyombo would be back, but he said both were feeling better Monday than Sunday.
• Clifford went with Anthony Tolliver as the fill-in starter at small forward, but he went small often during this game, moving Gerald Henderson to small forward and adding Ben Gordon or Ramon Sessions at shooting guard.
Clifford said it’s unlikely he’d move rookie small forward James Southerland into the rotation. He said Southerland has performed well in practice, but just isn’t yet at that stage of development.
• It didn’t seem like Stephen Curry’s annual appearance brought out quite as many Davidson fans as years past.
