The Carolina Hurricanes and PNC Arena announced a multi-year partnership Monday with the ridesharing company Uber, making Uber the preferred ridesharing app of the Hurricanes.

The partnership includes a new Uber Zone outside PNC Arena and periodic Uber Upgrade promotions that will give fans a chance to win four Champions Club tickets on Hurricanes home gamedays.

The Uber Zone will be outside the south entrances of PNC Arena. The zone offers fans a pregame dropoff point and a one-stop location to request Uber rides and meet their drivers after games.

The Uber Zone will be available for all PNC Arena events, including Carolina Hurricanes hockey games and N.C. State men’s basketball games, concerts and family shows.

“Having the Uber Zone will make it that much easier for fans to use Uber to get to and from Hurricanes games and other PNC Arena events,” said Don Waddell, president of the Hurricanes and PNC Arena parent company Gale Force Sports & Entertainment.
