Martin Frk's time with the Carolina Hurricanes proved to be brief.
The forward was claimed off waivers Tuesday by the Detroit Red Wings, returning to the team that placed him on waivers Oct. 8.
Frk was claimed Oct. 9 by the Canes and played two NHL games for Carolina as a fourth-line winger.
The Canes put Frk, 23, on waivers Monday with the purpose of sending him to the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. But the Red Wings decided to claim him and bring him back to their organization.
