The Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday announced the signings of depth forwards Brendan Woods and Brody Sutter, and defensemen Dennis Robertson and Keegan Lowe. All four players agreed to one-year, two-way contracts.

Sutter played in eight games last season with the Canes and 70 for the Charlotte Checkers, Carolina’s AHL affiliate. Woods, 24, played in five NHL games for the Canes.

Robertson, 25, split the 2015-16 season between Chicago’s AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, and the Checkers. He was traded to the Blackhawks on Sept. 11 and reacquired by Carolina on Feb. 29 at the trade deadline.

Lowe, 23, posted AHL career highs in games played (67), goals (3), assists (11) and points (14) for the Checkers in 2015-16. He made his NHL debut for the Canes in the 2014-15 season, playing two games.

Lowe will receive $750,000 on the NHL level or $80,000 on the AHL level next season. Woods will receive $650,000 at the NHL level or $80,000 in the AHL; Sutter $600,000 at the NHL level or $115,000 in the AHL; and Robertson $650,000 and $75,000.
