DJ Khaled is teeing up for a good cause. The famed producer, known for his rolodex of catch phrases, has announced the launch of the We The Best Foundation Golf Classic in collaboration with Jordan. The event will take place Thursday, July 20, where Khaled and his famous pals will “Golf for a great cause,” notes Vibe. All proceeds will go toward the WTB Foundation.

Khaled posted about the upcoming event on his Instagram.

“I had this incredible vision to combine my love of golf with my love to help others. So, it’s my honor to invite you to the inaugural Jordan x We The Best Foundation Golf Classic!” Khaled captioned a Reel promoting the Golf Classic. The video featured the producer golfing with friends including music mogul P. Diddy and actor Mark Wahlberg.

“I’m so excited to host the golf classic in my city Miami! While enjoying a day of fun, we’ll also be raising funds to benefit the We The Best Foundation, where we aid underserved communities to be their best,” the caption continued. Khaled also said that people can “expect a few surprises.”

According to a press release shared with Billboard, there will be a handful of events leading up to the Classic, such as a VIP reception with special guests on July 19. The morning of the Classic, there will be a registration and breakfast, and celebrity introductions an hour later. The Classic itself will start at 9:30 am and an awards reception will be at 2:30 p.m.

“Just to be out on the golf course with close friends and family of mine is a blessing,” Khaled said to Billboard. “Giving back makes it even better. I can’t wait to see you all at the first-ever We The Best Foundation Golf Classic. We’re starting something very special here while introducing the sport of golf to a wider community.”

Khaled’s love for golf is nothing new. The producer told Golf Digest that the sport “taught me to be more calm — not changing who I am because I have a lot of energy but the way I deal with things. Take time. Don’t trip. Don’t work off your emotions. Something that used to irritate you, brush it off, keep it moving. Go hit another nine holes.”
