American Horror Story: Apocalypse (10 p.m., FX) - Hard to believe this is the eighth installment of Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series, but here we are. Murphy and FX have become very tight-lipped with show details, but the “Apocalypse” trailer indicates we’re dealing with the aftereffects of some kind of nuclear event, and other online rumors suggest the coming of the anti-Christ. The cast for “Apocalypse” includes some AHS regulars like Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Gabourey Sidibe, Frances Conroy, Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Billy Eichner and others. But we also one very important new face: Joan Collins.

Also on tonight . . .

World of Dance (9 p.m., NBC) - The top four acts take the stage for the last time and the top overall scoring performer is named the season champion.

The Sinner (10 p.m., USA) - Heather and Ambrose search for Julian.
