The new fall season starts this week. We’ll try to get all of the new show premieres and season premieres in What to Watch over the coming weeks. Check out our full 2018 Fall TV Preview.

A Million Little Things (10 p.m., ABC) - This heavily promoted drama tells the story of the friendship of four Boston men after one of the men dies by suicide. It’s a good cast: Ron Livingston (“Band of Brothers”), James Roday (“Psych”), Romany Malco (“Weeds”) and David Giuntoli (“Grimm”) are the friends, and Livingston’s character, Jon, seems to be the heart of the circle. He’s also the one who kills himself near the beginning of the first episode. The other men each have their own problems — one is battling suicidal depression, one has cancer and the other is having an affair and wants to leave his wife — but the death of their friend prompts reflection, perspective, and vows to know each other better going forward.

Also on tonight . . .

Chicago Med (8 p.m., NBC) - In the Season 4 premiere, Bekker takes drastic action to keep Rhodes from leaving Med for good. This year NBC has moved all three of its Chicago shows to Wednesday night.

The Goldbergs (8 p.m., ABC) - Beverly and Murray forget Adam’s 16th birthday in the Season 6 opener.

Survivor (8 p.m., CBS) - Season 37 starts and we have a Chapel Hill doctor competing. Learn more about Alison Raybould before tonight’s premiere.

(L-R): Jake Choi, Kimrie Lewis, Leighton Meester, Brad Garrett and Taran Killam Mitch Haaseth ABC

Single Parents (9:30 p.m., ABC) - Taran Killam (“Saturday Night Live”) leads this silly but entertaining new comedy about a group of disparate single parents who have each other’s backs. Killam plays a newly single father who is just so very far overboard with the parenting and needs some reeling in. Brad Garrett is very funny as the the oldest — and most old school — single dad in the bunch.

Chicago PD (10 p.m, NBC) - Voight is sidelined in the Season 6 opener, and Antonio and Ruzek clash during the race to solve a series of overdose deaths caused by bad heroin.

Big Brother (10 p.m., CBS) - A winner is selected in the Season 20 finale.
