The new fall season started last week. We’ll try to get all of the new show premieres and season premieres in What to Watch over the coming weeks. Check out our full 2018 Fall TV Preview.

SEAL Team (9 p.m., CBS) - In the Season 2 premiere, Jason and the team rescue an American hostage after an oil platform is overtaken by armed militants.

Also on tonight . . .

Burden of Truth (8 p.m., The CW) - In the Season 1 finale, Joanna is reinstated and works to get a settlement in the case involving the teenage girls in her hometown. No word yet on whether The CW will renew or cancel the show for a Season 2.

Survivor (8 p.m., CBS) - Our Chapel Hill doctor is still in the game. Action this week includes an island romance that paints a target on the backs of two castaways.

Criminal Minds (10 p.m., CBS) - Reid and Garcia are abducted by a mass murderer in the Season 14 premiere, and the BAU looks into their past to find out why they’ve been targeted.

Secrets of the Dead (10 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) - This episode follows forensic archaeologists, historians and scientists as they investigate the remains of a young African American woman found buried in an abandoned lot in Queens, NY, inside an expensive iron coffin. The woman died in the first half of the 19th century. By piecing together the woman’s story and the time in which she lived, the film explores a vivid picture of what life was like for free African American people in the North and their connection to the AME church.

A Million Little Things (10 p.m., ABC) - The group tries to be there for Sophie as the annual father-daughter dance recital approaches.
