Madam Secretary (10 p.m., CBS) - In the Season 5 premiere, Elizabeth turns to former secretaries of state to ask their advice on how to respond to a delicate situation. Hillary Clinton, General Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright guest star.

Storm of Suspicion (8 p.m, Weather Channel) - The Weather Channel debuts this new series about crimes that are in some way connected to weather. Tonight, a mother of two is reported missing as Hurricane Harvey blasts the Texas coast, and investigators have to brave the storm to unravel the mystery surrounding her disappearance.

Dancing With the Stars Jr (8 p.m., ABC) - The pint-sized version of the flagship show premieres, with each couple performing the cha cha, salsa, foxtrot or jive. Two teams are eliminated.
iHeartRadio Music Festival (8 p.m., The CW) - Night 1 shows highlights from the event, featuring Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood and Imagine Dragons. Night 2 airs on Monday.
The Walking Dead (9 p.m., AMC) - In the Season 9 opener, Rick and his group make a risky run into Washington, D.C., to search for artifacts they will need to build the civilization he and Carl envisioned.
Shark Tank (10 p.m., ABC) - The Season 10 premiere has the sharks considering a device that protects packages from thieves and an alternative to plastic straws.
Ballers (10 p.m., HBO) - Spencer takes his fight to the next level in the Season 4 finale.
