Schooled (8:30 p.m., ABC) - This new sitcom is a spinoff of “The Goldbergs” set in the ‘90s with Barry’s former girlfriend Lainey (AJ Michalka) returning to William Penn Academy as a music teacher following her failed attempt at being a rock star. While Lainey has a hard time adjusting to being an authority figure, Coach Mellor (Bryan Callen) has a hard time adjusting to the new Michael Jordan-style of basketball (there’s a distracting amount of R. Kelly music in this storyline). Tim Meadows and Brett Dier also star.

The Masked Singer (9 p.m., Fox) - The second episode of this new singing competition series introduces us to the other half of our contestants: Rabbit, Alien, Raven, Pineapple, Poodle and Bee. Same as last week, some of these singers are great and some really are not — but it’s so much fun!

Match Game (10 p.m., ABC) - Season 4 of this Alec Baldwin-hosted game show starts with panelists Kenan Thompson, Ellie Kemper, Sherri Shepherd, Horatio Sanz, Jillian Bell and Tyler Hoechlin.

The Dictator’s Playbook (10 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) - This new series looks at six dictators shaped the 20th century. It starts with Kim Il Sung of North Korea.
