On April 30, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is showing Banksy’s 2010 documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop” presented by Alamo Raleigh Film Club and ArtCurious podcast. The film by British street artist Banksy tells the story of French videographer Thierry Guetta, who tries his hand at street art under the moniker, “Mr. Brainwash.” After the screening, there will be a live podcast taping of ArtCurious hosted by Jennifer Dasal, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art for the NC Museum of Art, joined by Film Club curator Jackson Cooper. April 26, the Carolina Theatre in Durham is offering a double feature of W.D. Richter’s 1984 sci-fi action comedy “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension,” and Mike Marvin’s 1986 supernatural adventure “The Wraith.” The double bill begins at 7, and admission is $9.50.

May 1, the MovieDiva Series is presenting Victor Fleming’s 1932 romantic drama “Red Dust,” starring Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Mary Astor, at 7 p.m. $7. Details: 919-560-3030 or carolinatheatre.org.

April 27, at The Cary, Jafar Panahi’s 2018 Iranian drama “3 Faces,” about the lives of three actresses from different generations, screens at 7 p.m. That’s followed by Orson Welles’ “Touch of Evil” at 9 p.m. The 1958 film noir classic, which stars Welles, Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh and Marlene Dietrich, screens as part of the Noir@Nine series.
