Celebrate ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ on the big screen
May 6, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is showing Cliff Roquemore’s 1976 action comedy “The Human Tornado,” starring Rudy Ray Moore, as part of the Cinema Overdrive series. May 7, John Waters’ 1994 crime comedy “Serial Mom” screens as part of Terror Tuesday.

▪ On May 5, the Cary Theater is screening Jon S. Baird’s 2018 comedy drama “Stan & Ollie,” starring Steve Coogan and John C. Reilly as Laurel and Hardy, at 2 p.m. Following that will be “A Series of Fortunate Events – Short Films presented by Arts Access.” Two films by filmmakers with disabilities will be screened: Brad Jones’ “Waking Dreams” and George Yionuolis’ “George, My Austin.” There will be a Q&A after the films with the directors. 5:30 p.m. $15.
On May 9, Paul Anton Smith’s 2016 comedy adventure “Have You Seen My Movie?” will be followed by another evening of short films, this time presented by the Town of Cary’s Good Hope Farm project.
