Stuff just goat serious: Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge brings us Goat Week 2020 (July 29–Aug. 2) with virtual and in-person events. Tune into Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge’s Facebook page at noon July 29 to meet the goats, July 30 for kids’ story time, July 31 for Goat Trivia (you’ve goat this), and Aug. 1 for Caleb the goat’s birthday bash. Summer Outdoor Flix

The “reel” fun continues at a host of viewing venues. At Raleigh Road Outdoor Theatre, catch a “Footloose” & “Grease” double header (July 30). On Aug. 4, “John Lewis: Good Trouble,” the documentary about the late congressman and civil rights leader, will be screened. Doors open at 8 p.m. Film at 9 p.m.

Over in Chapel Hill, swap the Buick for blankets at The Lumina Theater, and watch movies by starlight in pods (up to 5 people): “Space Jam” (July 30) and “Shrek” (July 31 & Aug. 1). Then Gitchie, gitchie, ya-ya, da-da over to Food Truck Flix for some “Moulin Rouge” (July 31), and “Fern Gully” (Aug. 1). She Kills Monsters + Divas!

Miss local theater? Raleigh Little Theatre is back with its first-ever fully virtual performance: “She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms,” now through Aug. 1, in which “Agnes Evans must learn to cope with the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge.”

The North Carolina Museum of History’s History + Highballs is back with its at-home version via presenters Jeff and Sarah Shepherd, the husband-and-wife team behind the plan to make Montfort Hall an anchor in the local community. Dig drive-in movies (who doesn’t)? MBK Wake County is here for you and is slated to host a series of free (yes, free! But you will need to purchase a vehicle parking pass) drive-in flicks starting July 30 (5-11:30 p.m.) at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. Feel free to bring your own snacks, but food trucks will be on-site as well. Purchase in advance by first completing a three-minute survey: Parking pass fee $20, SUV/truck $25. All proceeds go toward closing the achievement gap for youth and young adults of color in the Triangle. No passes will be sold at the movie.
