The NC Chinese Lantern Festival returns to light up Cary

After a pandemic year off, the North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival returned this year to light up Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. And with warm temperatures in December, record crowds have flocked to see over 35 colorful displays and nightly performances. The festival, now in its fifth year, is open daily through Jan. 9, from 6 to 10 p.m. For details on tickets, performances and on-site food, go to boothamphitheatre.com.
