After a two-year hiatus, the Holiday Express is rolling back into Pullen Park.

The annual Christmas train ride will be back from Dec. 1-11 and 13-18 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This year’s activities will include a slew of holiday lights, inflatables, carnival games, carolers, carousel rides, appearances from Santa and more.

Tickets for the beloved holiday tradition go on sale at reclink.raleighnc.gov on Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. and are $15. The City of Raleigh said additional details on ticket sales will become available in the coming weeks.

The Holiday Express was canceled in 2020 during the peak of the coronavirus pandemic. It was canceled in 2021 because of struggles to staff the event.

Tickets typically go fast when they go on sale. More than 16,000 tickets were sold in 2019, The News & Observer previously reported.

The City of Raleigh is also seeking volunteers to help staff the event.

Pullen Park is at 520 Ashe Ave.
