WWE 'Raw': CM Punk, Roman Reigns have final meeting before 'WrestleMania'
April 14 (UPI) -- World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and his rival Roman Reigns had a final war of words before their main event match at WrestleMania 42 on WWE Raw.
Punk, on Monday, surprisingly apologized for previously mentioning Reigns' late father, WWE Hall of Famer Sika, and described how he both hated and envied his future opponent.
"This is the only dream that I had in my heart since I was a little kid. I envy the fact that it was handed to you. And I hate that you were champion for 1,316 days," Punk said about Reigns growing up in a wrestling family and finding success.
"I hate the amount of times you've main evented WrestleMania," Punk continued, before stating that he hates that he envies Reigns.
"I hate you too. I've hated you for a long time. But the main reason is because of your relationship with all of them," Reigns said, referencing the fans in attendance.
"I hope one day I can get to the point that when I leave, they miss me as much as they missed you. I hope that one day when I leave, they chant for me for 10 years straight," Reigns continued, mentioning how fans never stopped supporting Punk during his long absence from WWE.
Punk battles Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on Sunday.
