Why the List Hit a Nerve

While parts of the viral Threads list reflect Disney's real long‑term planning, the reaction highlights a growing audience frustration with franchise‑heavy slates-even when those projects are commercially reliable.

As one commenter put it bluntly: "Whole lot of original ideas here."

"I miss when Disney and Pixar used to mean creativity and fresh ideas," wrote one user, Dei.

"Whole lot of original ideas here," added Joe Swain.

"Lol, 90 percent sequels, nice," another commenter wrote.

Others are more excited for the return of old favorites.

"I do really like the concept of technology taking over kids' childhoods instead of toys," a Toy Story fan noted. "It's an interesting topic not many people are giving enough credit for."
