Coachella Weekend 2 Tickets Soar After Justin Bieber's Controversial Set
Justin Bieber's Coachella set may have divided the internet, but one thing is clear - it got people talking and buying tickets.
After Bieber headlined Weekend 1 of the festival on Saturday, April 11, resale prices for Weekend 2 passes surged dramatically, proving that the controversial performance sparked a fresh wave of demand heading into the second weekend.
According to data from TickPick, a three-day Weekend 2 Coachella pass was priced at $639 before this year's festival. Following Bieber's performance, that same ticket jumped to $2,138, marking a massive 234 percent increase.
TickPick also noted that this year's Coachella is now the most expensive on record, with an overall average purchase price of $1,160. That figure is 57.6 percent higher than last year's average of $736.
The jump comes after Bieber's headline-making set drew strong reactions online. The singer, 32, spent much of the performance focusing on songs from his 2025 albums "SWAG" and "SWAG II," backed by a minimal production setup that featured little more than a laptop on stage.
While some longtime fans appreciated the intimate approach and saw it as a deliberate choice, others expected a larger-scale pop spectacle from one of the world's biggest stars - especially coming after Sabrina Carpenter's performance the night before.
Social media quickly filled with debate, with some calling the set underwhelming and others praising Bieber for doing something more personal.
Whether fans loved it or hated it, the response appears to have translated into attention. And with Weekend 2 kicking off April 18, all eyes are on whether Bieber has a similar performance planned.
