‘American Idol' 2026 Results Last Night: Who Went Home and Who Made the Top 7?

"Disney Night" was back on American Idol as the Top 9 brought iconic Disney songs to life and enjoyed the magic of Disneyland Resort, as America voted live to decide which seven moved one step closer to their dream of becoming the next American Idol.

Award-winning music superstar and American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson mentored the hopefuls and guest judges, while performances from Disney hits Descendants and Toy Story and special appearances from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge brought additional enchantment.

Also, the Top 9 performed "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story.

And Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie were on hand to lend their voices to critique the Top 9 following their performances.

As previously announced, The American Idol app for voting has been replaced by social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) voting. Text voting and online voting are still in place.

BRADEN RUMFELT

Song: "Remember Me" from Coco

Carrie said: "You have such a great getting-into-character presence when you sing. It's refreshing to watch. It isn't like you are just dazzling us with a song."

LUCAS LEON

Song: "Life Is a Highway" from Cars

Jennifer said: "Look at you Lucas. You took every note. You owned the stage. I felt like I was at your concert. You are well on your way young man. Trust your instincts. That's what's going to get you further on that highway."

HANNAH HARPER

Song: "Almost There" from The Princess and the Frog

Luke said: "I loved it. It made my heart smile. It made me smile watching you grow. You started with this Reba McEntire-type [thing] and you grew into your character. One of my favorite performances you've done."

CHRIS TUNGSETH

Song: "Let it Go" from Frozen

Lionel said: "Way to go. I was just worried that Jennifer gave you a note about the power that could blow out a kidney. Fantastic. You gave us expression and stage presence."

KEYLA RICHARDSON

Song: "Circle of Life" from The Lion King

Jennifer said [after throwing her shoe]: "This song is testimony and you just performed it like your testimony. I was looking at your baby singing it as you sang it, [and it reminded me of me]. Full circle. I hope it does the same for you as it did for me."

BROOKS

Song: "The Climb" from Hannah Montana

Jennifer said: "You have such a special sound that does not come around every day. And you are brave to come out here. But you are in the right place. You deserve to be here."

JORDAN McCULLOUGH

Lionel said: "Real short, real sweet, Southern way of saying it, ‘Shut Your mouth.'"

Carrie said: "Jordan that was perfect."

KYNDAL INSKEEP
