Charlie Sheen Reveals ‘Grudgy' Jon Cryer Hasn't Spoken to Him

Charlie Sheen says he and former co-star Jon Cryer still haven't reconnected years after the rather dramatic end of their hit sitcom, "Two and a Half Men."

Speaking at a recent For Your Consideration event for the documentary "aka Charlie Sheen," the actor admitted he has not spoken with Cryer, 61, since the project's release, even though both participated in it.

"Every time this comes up, I say I’m going to [reach out to him] and I never do," the 60-year-old actor said, per a PEOPLE article shared on Saturday, April 24. "I don’t like to bother people. But I think Jon would be open to that." He added, "Jon’s a lovely man and a very talented guy."

During a panel discussion, Sheen also joked about Cryer not attending the event. "Jon’s not here tonight, is he? No, he’s a little grudgy like a decade and a half later. I’m like, ‘Dude, what the [expletive]? I got over it. What are we doing, Jon?’"

The comments reference the fallout surrounding the hit sitcom, which was rocked in 2011 when Sheen's highly publicized struggles and various issues with producers led to his exit from the show. Cryer remained with the sitcom after Ashton Kutcher joined the cast.

But despite the joke, Sheen sounded appreciative that Cryer and others chose to revisit that complicated chapter for the documentary. "They could have easily said, ‘Go [expletive] yourself. I’m not interested. I lived it. I don’t need to talk about it again,’" he said.

Sheen also shared that father Martin Sheen and brother Emilio Estevez chose not to appear in the documentary, despite supporting it privately. According to Sheen, both watched the project beforehand, with Martin especially enjoying it.

"[Martin] saw it and loved it and was just, he was laughing, he was crying," Sheen said, per the outlet, adding that his father joked, "I'm already in it … you don't need this old guy in your movie."
