Brianne Howey Hints at Character Changes and 'New Sides' in 'Ginny & Georgia' Season 4 (Exclusive)
Star of Netflix's hit drama Ginny & Georgia Brianne Howeyhas several projects currently in the works-some she can talk about and some she can't quite yet-but among the upcoming projects fans are most excited about is Ginny & Georgia Season 4.
Howey couldn't reveal too much about the upcoming fourth season of Ginny & Georgia, which is confirmed to be in the works but does not currently have an official release date. However, she did share that Georgia will continue to grow and have a complex journey.
"What a journey it is," Howey said. "Georgia has, as have all of the characters, and that's what the show is so good at, suffered the consequences of so many of her actions. And I think we saw it the most in Season 3. It was incredibly sobering to have the children taken away, and I think what we love about Georgia, what is also painful to watch about Georgia, is she can't always read the room."
Howey continued, "Georgia's going to do what Georgia's going to do, and I think it was hard for her to look in the mirror and accept some of these things. But we do see some of that payoff [in Season 4]. Not entirely, because we meet some fun new characters that bring out new sides of our characters or old sides that we haven't seen yet. So, there's always that dichotomy; there's always this push and pull of, like, we have grown, it's one step forward, but then in some cases it still feels like two steps back."
Perhaps the biggest mystery that Ginny & Georgia fans are eager to see solved in Season 4 is who the father of Georgia's baby is, following the finale twist that she is pregnant. This could be the baby of either her currently estranged husband, Paul, or will-they-won't-they flame Joe.
Howey couldn't reveal who her preference would be, although she did share, "I always say Georgia has it so good. Like, what beautiful options Georgia has anywhere. Whichever path she chooses to go down, or whatever path chooses her, it's a nice life."
Howey also has projects in the works that she cannot tease yet, but she is currently partnering with Colgate Optic White on their "Science of WOW" campaign, which highlights the company's Optic White Pro Series toothpaste.
"I think we can all agree that when we feel our best, we look our best, and I think for most of us, that starts with our smile. It's our first introduction to ourselves, it's how we greet people, it's just a natural part of human behavior," Howey said.
She continued, "I think when we feel confident with our smile, we feel confident in general. So, it definitely starts from the inside out."
Howey particularly highlighted the science of Colgate's Optic White Pro Series toothpaste as appealing to her.
"What drew me to this campaign in particular is all of the science behind it, you know? We layer so many products nowadays. We all use so many products, it's hard to know which product to give what credit to, and I feel like with Colgate Optic White Pro Series, we physically see the whitening results. And getting to work with Doctor Lisa [Manus] was amazing. She taught me so much about the difference between surface stains and deep-set stains and the Hydrogen Peroxide Complex," she said.
