Best-Selling Romance Author's Latest Novel Ranked Among 'Most Read Books' in United States on Goodreads
Abby Jimenez has another hit on her hands.
The best-selling author's eighth novel, The Night We Met, is currently ranked #3 on Goodreads' "Most Read This Week in the United States" list. Library Journal's Book Pulse separately reports the novel is leading library holds this week. The book has been on shelves less than two months.
What the Book Is About
The Night We Met is the second installment in Jimenez's Say You'll Remember Me series, released March 24, 2026. The story follows Larissa, a gig-economy worker scraping by on side hustles, who at one concert made a split-second choice about whose ride to take home. She picked her boyfriend Mike. The other guy was Mike's best friend, Chris.
Now Larissa and Chris are best friends. They co-parent a slightly unhinged rescue Yorkie. They share their favorite books. They judge bread together. Chris, a pharmacist and voracious reader, is quietly in love with Larissa from the sidelines. Making a move would destroy his best friend.
