Spencer Pratt's bid for mayor of L.A. is getting plenty of attention. While much of it is positive, some celebs are bashing the former reality TV star's tactics. Most recently, actor and The Price Is Right host Drew Carey posted a scathing commentary on Threads, inciting a social media meltdown.

As the race for mayor of Los Angeles heats up, Carey went public with his opinions about one of the candidates. Referring to The Hills star as "Spencer Prattfall, Carey condemned anyone who votes for or endorses Pratt, adding, "I understand being angry/unsatisfied, but at least get behind someone competent and not some serial scammer without a soul or moral compass."
Spencer's supporters flocked to the post to voice their opinions. One commenter wrote, "Karen is competent? She let 25,000 homes burn down and didn't listen to warnings from aids," and another said, "You don't have to hate him just to prove you're liberal. How about criticizing his policies?"

Several notable names have publicly endorsed Pratt or contributed financially to his campaign. Former The Hills reality stars Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner praised their pal, Paris Hiltongave Pratt props in the comments section of an Instagram post, and Katharine McPhee and David Foster reportedly hosted a fundraiser (where McPhee sang a Spencer-fied version of "Simply the Best").
Along with these celebs, actor James Woods has seemingly backed Pratt on several occasions, writing recently on X, "Spencer Pratt may just become a populist hero. If he stays the course by following through on his goals for the city, he will. So far, he has done brilliantly. His ambitions for our recovery from the nightmare of Karen Bass are clear, sensible, and well articulated."
But that wasn't the first time Woods had something to say about Pratt. Last week, the actor wrote, also on X, "Man, Spencer Pratt is on fire. And that's no pun, ladies and gentlemen."
And then there's the president. According to recent reports, Donald Trumpsupports the reality star candidate. While there's no official word from the White House, Trump told reporters, "I'd like to see him do well. He's a character. I hear he's a big MAGA person. He's doing well."
