On the Wednesday, May 27 episode of The Jinger & Jeremypodcast, Joy-Anna, 28, opened up to her sisterJinger Duggar Vuolo, 32, about the aftermath of the shocking arrest.
"I feel like every day is different and I think that it's probably been the hardest time I've ever gone through," Joy-Anna began.
"I think we're all grieving in different ways," she continued. "Every day just feels so heavy, and I definitely think as time goes on, certain things that have gotten lighter, but I've really been struggling, honestly."
Joy-Anna also shared that her Christian faith has brought her peace during this difficult time, adding that she's been carefully navigating how much to share publicly while the legal process unfolds.
"It's already impacted my family so much," she explained. "I feel like the more I talk about it publicly, the more it just gets rubbed in our faces and I want to just move on with life in some ways."
Shortly after Joseph was arrested, Joy-Anna released a statement calling his alleged actions "heartbreaking and deeply disturbing," noting she was "grieved by the pain and harm caused."
