Who Won ‘Jeopardy' Today? (May 28, 2026) Plus, the Final Jeopardy Answer

There are three things guaranteed in the world today: Death, taxes, and Jeopardy! being on. Believe it or not, the iconic game show has been on the air for over 60 years (though the modern incarnation we know and love technically debuted in 1984). Under the watchful eye of Ken Jennings (who himself was a record-breaking champion), Jeopardy! puts three people's trivia skills and reflexes to the ultimate test. And so many of the greats to grace those podiums started by simply watching the show as it aired on weekdays, as millions have done for over half a century.

Here's a spoiler-filled recap of who won Jeopardy! today, plus the answer to Final Jeopardy.

What was Final Jeopardy today?

Final Jeopardy today was in the category "LATIN PHRASES."

The clue: "An 1863 Congressional 'Act relating to' this was decried in the press as a 'bill to appoint a dictator'"

The answer: "What is habeas corpus?"

The game was already a runaway, as D'Angelo's pre-FJ score totaled $34,000, leaving his opponents, Epstein ($7,200) and Bloom ($5,200), in the dust. He wagered $16,000 with confidence and got it right for a final day total of $50,000, a new single-game high that topped his previous best by $20,000.

While Epstein and Bloom both got the FJ question correct, they didn't stand a chance, finishing at $10,401 and $10,200, respectively.

D'Angelo will return on Friday for his attempt at win number 8.
