'90s Rock Legend Announces Massive Show With Special Guests

Tom Morello just announced a major new music festival filled with rock legends and electrifying performances of both music and activism.

The Rage Against the Machine guitarist revealed the lineup for Power to the People, a one-day event taking place on Oct. 3, 2026, at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland. The festival poster describes the event as "a day of peace, love, justice, and music."

The lineup includes performances from the Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Serj Tankian, Taylor Momsen and The Linda Lindas. Morello himself is also scheduled to perform alongside special guests, including Roman Morello, Revel Ian, Yoyoka Soma and Hugo Weiss.

In an Instagram post announcing the show, Morello wrote, "I am proud to announce: THE POWER TO THE PEOPLE FESTIVAL!! A festival celebrating FREEDOM! JUSTICE! EQUALITY! & ROCK N ROLL!"

One of the biggest surprises on the bill is a special guest appearance from Bruce Springsteen, whose inclusion has immediately drawn attention from fans online. The festival's political focus aligns with the outspoken reputations of both Springsteen and Morello, who have frequently used music to address social and political issues throughout their careers.

Jack Black, Dropkick Murphys, Grandson, Matt Cameron and Darryl "DMC" McDaniels are also part of the lineup, making the event one of the most stacked classic and alternative rock festivals announced for 2026 so far.

The festival will take place in Columbia, Maryland, and pre-sale registration is already open. According to the announcement, pre-sale tickets begin Friday at 10 a.m. ET, while general ticket sales begin Saturday at 10 a.m. ET.
