Mistfall Hunter Wants You to Risk Everything in Its Brutal New Open Beta
Developer Bellring Games and publisher Skystone Games have announced that the dark fantasy extraction ARPG Mistfall Hunterwill launch its open beta on June 14 across Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. The beta marks one of the biggest opportunities yet for players to try the studio's debut title before its eventual release.
Set in the shattered world of Weavereach, Mistfall Hunter takes place after a devastating war between gods and cosmic beings left civilization on the brink of collapse. A corruptive force known as the Gyldenmist now twists both the land and its inhabitants, turning survivors into monstrous threats.
Players assume the role of Gyldhunters, resurrected warriors brought back by a mysterious figure named Dew to battle corrupted enemies and recover powerful resources. Their mission is simple in theory but dangerous in execution: enter deadly zones, gather valuable loot, and survive long enough to escape.
Unlike traditional action RPGs, Mistfall Hunter combines precision-based combat with extraction mechanics, meaning failure comes at a steep cost. If players die during a run, everything collected is lost, creating constant tension as rival players and corrupted enemies fight over the same rewards.
At launch, the beta will include five playable classes: Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer, each offering distinct weapons, abilities, and combat styles. Players can venture out alone or form squads of up to three people while experimenting with skill trees, talent combinations, and high-level gear.
Bellring Games says the upcoming beta represents a refined experience built from months of community feedback and previous testing phases.
Pre-downloads begin June 13 at 8:00 pm PST, with servers officially opening on June 14 at 6:00 pm PST before concluding on June 22. Mistfall Hunter will be playable on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
