Riftbound Spiritforged Rumble Champion Deck Upgrade Guide: Best Cards to Add
The Riftbound TCG's Spiritforged Rumble Champion Deck comes with a ready-to-play deck built around Rumble. While the deck is functional out of the box, there are several cards that can improve its consistency, power, and overall performance. So, what are the best upgrades for the Spiritforged Rumble Champion Deck, and which cards are worth adding?
What Is the Rumble Champion Deck's Strategy?
Rumble - Mechanized Menace is a Riftbound legend from the Spiritforged set with the Fury and Mind domain. Its ability gives your mechs Shield, giving them +1 might while they're defenders.
Rumble's legend ability makes it lean towards a mech tribal deck. These decks want to play as many mechs as possible to have more units affected by its legend ability while defending. In addition to the added durability from its legend ability, Rumble decks have access to might reducing spells from the Mind domain. This leads to a formidable defense after gaining control of battlefields.
Best Upgrades for the Rumble Champion Deck
The following are some of the best cards to consider adding to the Spiritforged Rumble Champion Deck.
Battlefields
The two battlefields I recommend including in Rumble decks are Fortified Position and Trifarian War Camp.
Fortified Position lets you grant one of your defending units Shield 2. When combined with Rumble's innnate shield ability, it can be difficult for your opponents to seize this battlefield from you.
Meanwhile, Trifarian War Camp gives all units in this battlefield +1 might. Since Rumble decks want to go wide anyway, this gives all of your Mechs in a battlefield additional power to maintain control over it.
Units
The base Rumble precon already features a good number of mechs for Rumble to buff with its legend ability. My only unit recommendation to upgrade the deck is Thousand-Tailed Watcher. Although this card isn't a Mech, it's powerful play effect let's you significantly reduce the might of all of your opponent's units. This powerful effect can help you conquer battlefields that opponents have a significant hold over.
Spells and Gear
To upgrade Rumble's Spells and Gear, I first recommend adding Falling Star. This spell is a very cost-efficient way to remove either one powerful unit or two lesser units. Next, Stupefy and Eclipse are good includes in this deck because they reduce your opponent's might. This helps support Rumble's gameplan of holding down a battlefield after you conquer them.
Stupefy is weaker, but gives you added card draw. Meanwhile, Eclipse can really cripple an enemy unit while also letting you filter through the top of your Main Deck.
The Riftbound TCG's Spiritforged Rumble Champion Deck provides a solid foundation for players looking to learn Rumble's legend and its core strategy. However, the right upgrades can improve its consistency, power, and overall performance. As the meta evolves and new cards are released, additional options may also become worth considering for the deck.
