Beloved '90s Band Makes Major Change to Anniversary Tour

The Chicks delivered a major surprise to fans following the announcement of their upcoming tour.

Celebrated for redefining contemporary country music, the band, consisting of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer, is gearing up to hit the road once again in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Taking the Long Way album.

The trio, formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, took to social media to announce an update regarding their 10-city tour.

In an Instagram post, The Chicks announced an additional New York City show, making it a three-day run as requested by fans.

Instead of having shows only on Oct. 12 and 13 at the Beacon Theatre, the band rolled out an Oct. 10 date, marking the first show of its New York City run.

"We are SO excited for this tour and it seems like you might be, too! We've just added a third show in NYC to help accommodate the demand. If you signed up for shows in the New York market, you will automatically have access to this new date in your presale. Newsletter subscribers, look for an updated email tonight. If you signed up for the artist presale, make sure to keep an eye on your email this week for details as well!" the caption reads, along with the updated concert poster.

The comment section was filled with fans who expressed gratitude for the exciting announcement.
