Faris, 49, was catapulted to stardom in the original Scary Movie, which premiered in 2000. She went on to become a film star with comedy classics like The Hot Chick and The House Bunny, and earned major sitcom creds for her role as a recovering alcoholic in the CBS sitcom Mom opposite Allison Janney. Now back for the sixth installment of the Scary Movie franchise, Faris hit the red carpet with a special date at the Scary Movie Global Premiere at the Paramount Theatre: Her and Pratt's 13-year-old son, Jack.
Wearing a suit and glasses, the teen smiled as he posed for photos alongside his mom, who wore a stunning halter-neck black gown covered in sequins.
Faris was also joined by her husband, Michael Barrett, and his daughter, Margot, and son, Dashiell.
What Does Faris Say About Returning to Scary Movie After 25 Years?
26 years after she first appeared in the original Scary Movie, Faris says it's a blessing to be back with the Wayans Brothers. Keenen Ivory Wayans directed the original Scary Movie and its first sequel, Scary Movie 2. His brothers, the dynamic duo Shawn and Marlon Wayans, co-wrote and starred in the first two films. This time around, all three brothers are on the writing team for this sixth installment of the beloved film franchise.
"To come back after all these years in this way has made me cry with gratitude. I hadn't seen the Wayans brothers since the end of Scary Movie 2. All those years have passed, and I didn't want to be one of those actors that never honored their roots," Faris told Entertainment Weekly, adding that "when people recognize me, if they do, they usually smile. They usually think about something dumb I did. And Scary Movie has given me that gift, that I get to share in people's joy."
