Chewy Just Created the Ultimate Cure for World Cup Stress
Chewy is here to help!
The beloved pet brand is helping disappointed (or joyful) World Cup fans cope with the stress of their team's journey - with animals.
As part of their joint efforts, Chewy and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee will create community-focused and pet-centric experiences that extend beyond the tournament and leave a lasting impact for residents.
Chewy is launching its first-ever Cuddle Shuttle - "a mobile experience designed to help fans decompress with comfort animal cuddle sessions" - in Miami from June 25 to 28. Win or lose, soccer fans and pet lovers are invited aboard for cuddle sessions with comfort animals.
"South Florida is Chewy's home, and we're proud to support the Miami Host Committee in bringing unforgettable experiences to the community during one of the world's biggest sporting events," Lisa-Marie Curti, head of partnerships at Chewy, said in a statement. "At Chewy, we know the powerful role pets play in people's lives during moments of celebration, excitement, and even disappointment. From match day to every day, Chewy is proud to champion the connection and joy that are at the heart of life with pets, creating moments that bring people together on and off the pitch."
Miami was selected as one of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup. With competition set to kick off on Thursday, June 11, fans from all over the world have converged on the South Florida beach city.
Seven matches will take place at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium (temporarily renamed Miami Stadium) beginning with Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay on June 15.
In addition to the Cuddle Shuttle, Chewy and the FIFA World Cup 2026 Miami Host Committee are working together to revitalize dog parks at Maurice A. Ferré Park and Bayfront Park, which will relaunch as Chewy Bark Park Bayfront and serve as the hub of Chewy's pet-friendly activities during the tournament.
