'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez to compete on 'DWTS'

June 18 (UPI) --Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez is set to compete on the next edition of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Kimmel announced the news on Wednesday's episode of his late-night chat show.

"Guillermo will become the first parking lot security guard to dance with the stars," Kimmel said, as Rodriguez danced out on stage to cheers from the audience. "This is going to be great. Don't lose a single adorable pound."

"I'm excited. I'm very happy," Rodriguez said.

Season 35 will kick off in September.

Reality stars Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins, and pro baseball player Jackson Olson were previously announced as competitors.
