Theater Picks, March 20: ‘Measure for Measure’ in Chapel Hill
Bare Theatre, the Triangle’s roving Shakespearean troupe, is staging a run of “Measure for Measure” in yet another venue, this time Chapel Hill’s venerable Varsity Theatre on Franklin Street. Director Beverly Schieman sets the play in 1920s Paris to reflect the work’s probing of sexual desire and social norms. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday (through April 4). $18 (students/seniors/military $15). 919-322-8819 or baretheatre.org.
