Amy Herzog’s highly praised 2011 play, “4000 Miles,” is PlayMakers Repertory Company’s last main stage production of the season. This Pulitzer Prize finalist brings together 21-year-old Leo and his 91-year-old grandmother, Vera, after Leo shows up at 3 a.m. on her doorstep. Both are drifting in their own ways and both find a prickly but increasingly needed bonding over memories and regrets. 7:30 p.m. Apr. 3-4, 7-11 and 14-18; 2 p.m. Apr. 5, 12 and 19. $15-$62. 919-962-7529 or playmakersrep.org.
