GASP Theatre stages ‘Detroit’ in Raleigh

GASP Theatre Company, an annual summer program at Raleigh’s Cardinal Gibbons High School, stages Lisa D’Amour’s 2009 comic drama, “Detroit.” Gibbons alumni and area theater professionals come together for this play about the crumbling American middle class. Neighborhood newcomers are invited to a backyard barbecue where addictions and broken dreams are revealed. Jul. 31-Aug. 1 and Aug. 6-8. 7:30 p.m. $5. 919-364-0535 or bit.ly/gaspdetroit.
