Take Five: Oktoberfest in Cary is fun for the whole Triangle

Triangle Oktoberfest

Expect family-friendly activities like Weiner Dog Races, games, a kids zone and prizes for German attire. And, of course, lots of food, an authentic Biergarten and the 30-piece Little German Band and Dancers.
Duck races

The Fox 50 Family Festival focuses on community engagement, health, learning and fun. There are activity zones and local sports mascots, but the highlight is a big rubber duck race. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald Houses in Durham and Raleigh.
Food trucks in Cary

In addition to a bunch of great food trucks (including Pho Nomenal Dumplings, which recently won Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race”), Cary’s final Chatham Street Showdown of the year will offer a wine garden and live local music.

This ultimate dog show will have the N.C. Canine Disc Dog State Championship, a Treibball competition, agility course, rabies clinic and much more. A pet food drive benefits Independent Animal Rescue.
Festifall

This annual celebration of the arts allows art enthusiasts and artists to interact, with performing arts, a market of handmade artworks and more.
