Cary lights up

Diwali, known as the festival of lights, is India’s largest and most widely celebrated cultural event. The local celebration will include a performance by Bollywood singer Kavitha Krishnamoorthy, delicious foods, a bazaar, fireworks display and much more.

Beer of the world

Two sessions of the World Beer Festival offer unlimited 2-ounce tastings of more than 250 beers from around the world, plus seminars, ingredient sampling and more.

Lasso some grub

This food truck rodeo has more than a half-mile of trucks from across the state spread out over 11 city blocks, plus they offer sidewalk seating for over 1,000 people.

More bluegrass

If you didn’t get enough bluegrass at last week’s epic IBMA throwdown, you can see the group Bluegrass Experience perform for free as part of the Music on the Plaza outdoor fall music series.
