Lantern Walk

For this annual family-oriented graveyard walk, volunteers dress in period clothing and present interesting historical vignettes from the Civil War period during a tour of Oakwood’s Confederate Cemetery.
Zombie Walk

Shamble and lurch through downtown at this annual pet- and family-friendly event. A Zompacalyptic After Party starts around 9 at Tir Na nOg Irish Pub, with live music, costume contests and more. Proceeds benefit the American Red Cross, Triangle Area Chapter.
Trick-or-Eat
Noon-5 p.m. Sunday; Main Street (Rand Mill to Montague) in downtown Garner; downtowngarner.com
Garner’s “Trick-or-Eat” food truck rodeo will have 14 local trucks – including Pho Nomenal Dumplings, winner of Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race” – and three craft brewers.
Spooktacular
4-7 p.m. Sunday; Northgate Mall Plaza, 1058 W. Club Blvd., Durham; free; northgatemall.com
The final Music on the Plaza concert of the year pairs the Durham Symphony Orchestra with Paperhand Puppet Intervention, performing ghoulish puppet theater with spooky music for all ages. Also, a costume contest and food trucks.
Drag show for MS

This benefit will have dinner and drink specials and a drag show featuring Jamie Monroe, Purina Chow, Mysti Cole, Mrs. Savannah Beaumont and others – and it all helps the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
