Theater Picks: Bare stages ‘Titus Andronicus’ with all-female cast
Shakespeare’s first tragedy, “Titus Andronicus,” is full of graphic violence and revenge-filled battles as it pits the title Roman general against Tamora, queen of the Goths. Bare Theatre’s staging at Durham’s Common Ground Theatre puts a whole new perspective on the tale with an all-female cast, directed by Heather J. Strickland.
8 p.m. Nov. 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21. $18 (seniors/military $15, students $10). 919-322-8819 or baretheatre.org.
