Theater Picks: A gender twist on Shakespeare’s ‘Two Gentlemen’

Bare Theatre puts a gender twist on Shakespeare’s “Two Gentlemen of Verona” (one of them is female) in the company’s 90-minute version playing free outdoor performances in six Triangle locations over the next month. This weekend it’s in the N.C. Museum of History’s courtyard.

  • North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre stages “The Wedding Singer,” the 2006 Broadway musical based on the popular 1998 Adam Sandler film. Performances start Friday. Details at nract.org.
