Bargain: Tuesdays, buy one appetizer and/or dessert, get one free with two entree purchases; Wednesday, all wines (by the glass or bottle) half price with $30 food purchase.

Dean’s Seafood Grill & Bar

Bargain: Sunday brunch special, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: all-you-can-eat oysters, $23 (kids 10 and under $7); Family Night Sundays: free kid’s meal with every adult entree purchased. Wednesday, all night at the bar: half price oysters, shellfish and appetizers.

Bargain: Blue Plate specials, Monday-Friday after 4 p.m. Monday it’s free-range chicken and dumplings for $11.95, and Wednesday it’s pork chops smothered with Creole sauce over Carolina Gold rice for $12.95.

Bargain: Daily specials vary by location. Burgers are $5 all day Monday at both Raleigh locations. In Cary, build-your-own burgers are $5 on Tuesdays, and shepherd’s pie (normally $14) is $9.95 on Wednesdays.

Bargain: Special three course dinner, $19.95 all night on Mondays; same deal Tuesday-Friday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Then the price goes up to $29.95 — still a bargain.

Bar menu: Changes seasonally, with recent prices ranging from $6 (chicken-fried chicken with dill crema and pickles) to $15 (black lager flounder with creamed cabbage, mustard and sunchoke).

Bargain: Tuesday night couple’s menu, $49.95 includes shared appetizer, soup or salad, two entrees (usually three choices, recently three-cheese ravioli, cedar planked salmon and beef medallions) and shared dessert.

Bargain: At the bar: discounted appetizers and salads every night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., half price cool water oysters and $5 draft Prosecco on Wednesdays. In the dining room: half price kid’s meal with adult entree, Tuesday-Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
