Yusuf Hawkins: Storm Over Brooklyn (9 p.m., HBO) - This original documentary tells the story of Yusuf Hawkins, a black teenager who was murdered in 1989 by a group of young white men in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Hawkins’ death and the official response to it sparked outrage in New York, unleashing a torrent of racial tension and spurring tireless civil rights activism that exposed deep racial prejudices and inequities which continue to plague the country today. Over 30 years later, the film gathers candid interviews with Yusuf’s family and friends, well-known community leaders, and those closest to the case — as well as archival footage, witness statements and more — to reflect on the tragedy and subsequent fight for justice that inspired and divided New York City.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (9 p.m., ABC) - In the series finale, Nathaniel and Sibyl edge closer to eliminating S.H.I.E.L.D. from the history books, so the agents must rely on their strengths to outsmart and outlast the Chronicoms.

Impact of Hate: Charlottesville (9 p.m., Investigation Discovery) - This documentary chronicles the vote in Charlottesville, Va., to remove the city’s Confederate statues and the violent protests in the aftermath. The Far Right descended for 2017’s Unite the Right Rally, and as concerned citizens gathered versus an influx of hate, a car plowed into a crowd, killing Heather Heyer at her first demonstration.

Trust Me (Hulu) - We get the complete second season of this Hulu show, a series of thrillers that expose the dark side of the people we trust to care for us: doctors. Each series features a brand new story and cast, and explores a different, often unfamiliar world.

Shark Week 2020 (Discovery) - Discovery’s Shark Week runs through Sunday, Aug. 16. One of tonight’s highlights is “Adam Devine’s Secret Shark Lair” (9 p.m.). Here’s the full schedule.
