What to Watch Tuesday: ‘Queens’ debuts on ABC, new documentary on Helen Keller

Bachelorette (8 p.m., ABC) - Minnesota school teacher Michelle Young — a finalist in the quest for Raleigh native Matt James’ heart earlier this year on “The Bachelor” — takes control of her own romantic destiny as the new Bachelorette. The season takes place at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California.

Becoming Helen Keller (9 p.m., PBS NC) - This American Masters documentary traces the life and legacy of Helen Keller, including how she used her celebrity to advocate for human rights and social justice for women, the poor and people with disabilities.

Queens (10 p.m., ABC) - This is a new musical drama series about four women from a defunct hip-hop group who reunite in their 40s to attempt a comeback and reclaim their former glory. The women — Brianna (aka Professor Sex), Jill (Butter Pecan), Valeria (Da Thrill) and Naomi (Xplicit Lyrics) — are played by Eve, Nadine Valesquez, Naturi Naughton and Brandy, respectively. The show comes from “Scandal” writer and producer Zahir McGhee.
