Benjamin Franklin (8 p.m., PBS NC) - We get the first part of Ken Burns’ two-night, four-hour documentary on Benjamin Franklin. The documentary explores the revolutionary life of one of the 18th century’s most consequential figures, whose work and words unlocked the mystery of electricity and helped create the United States. In tonight’s first installment, Franklin follows his success as a printer in Philadelphia by earning worldwide fame from electricity experiments, and then turns to politics. Part 2 of this documentary airs Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
NCAA Basketball Tournament (9 p.m., TNT / TBS / truTV) - Tonight’s men’s college basketball championship has UNC vs Kansas in the season’s final showdown. The Championship Central pre-game starts at 7 p.m.
