What to Watch on Sunday: Ken Burns’ documentary series ‘The Roosevelts’ begins
The Roosevelts: An Intimate History (8pm, UNC-TV) - The seven-day, 14-hour documentary series from Ken Burns examines Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, who played pivotal roles in shaping modern America. The series incorporates an archive of photos and film clips; a gallery of experts and historians; narration by Peter Coyote; and notable actors giving voice to some major players (Meryl Streep voices Eleanor, for example). Tonight’s installment opens with the early years of cousins Theodore and Franklin. Other installments air over the next six days, ending on Sept. 20.

Unforgettable (9:30pm, CBS) - Season 3 ends with two new episodes tonight. In the finale, Carrie is unable to use her perfect memory after an assassin slips her a potentially fatal dose of poison that attacks her brain.
The Strain (10pm, FX) - Eph investigates Kelly’s disappearance, while Dutch retaliates against Palmer.
Masters of Sex (10pm, Showtime) - Johnson tries to find a cure for Masters’ sexual difficulties, and Masters learns of a rival study and tries to brand his work. Also, Libby asks Johnson to give her an alibi while she canvasses a tenement for a rent strike with CORE.
