What to Watch on Wednesday: ‘Carmichael Show’ returns, ‘F-Word with Gordon Ramsay’ starts

The Carmichael Show (9 p.m., NBC) – This excellent, button-pushing sitcom returns for its third season with two new episodes. First, Jerrod and Maxine debate sexual assault and consent. At 9:30, Jerrod gets into a fight with a soldier in front of Joe, and Joe wants to make it up to the soldier.

The F-Word with Gordon Ramsay (9 p.m., Fox) – Relax, even though we’re talking about notoriously foul-mouthed Ramsay here, the “f-word” in this new cooking competition show stands for “food, friends and family.”

Food: Delicious Science (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – More food! This new PBS series about food opens with a look at the hidden chemistry in food that keeps our bodies healthy.
