Will your afternoon soaps also be eclipsed today? Here’s what’s on TV.
Don’t call WNCN today to complain about the eclipse programming preempting “Young and the Restless.” It’s not their fault.
CBS didn’t produce a show for today, knowing that a CBS News Special Report would air instead from 1-3 p.m., so you aren’t really missing anything. (WNCN / CBS North Carolina will have a special one-hour broadcast starting at 4 p.m.)
Over on WRAL, NBC will interrupt “Days of Our Lives” for 20 minutes around 1:10 p.m. The entire episode of “The Doctors” will be interrupted, but can be seen on WRAL2.
On ABC / WTVD, an ABC News special “The Great American Eclipse” airs from 1-3, preempting the usual programming of “The Chew” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”
