Here’s what’s on TV tonight.

Dateline: Killings in a College Town (9 p.m., NBC)

“Dateline” sends Keith Morrison to Moscow, Idaho, to get the latest updates on the murders of four University of Idaho college students — Madison Mogen (21), Kaylee Goncalves (21), Xana Kernodle (20) and Ethan Chapin (20) — and the arrest of the suspected killer, Bryan Kohberger. The students were stabbed to death in the middle of the night inside an off-campus residence in November. Police connected Kohberger, who had been a Ph.D student at nearby Washington State University, by DNA on a knife sheath left at the scene, and other evidence. So far there has been no information released regarding a possible motive.

Morrison will interview family members of the victims and former acquaintances of the suspected killer.

20/20: Horror in Idaho: The Student Murders (9 p.m., ABC)

“20/20” also looks at the Idaho college student murders, with a range of experts talking about various aspects of the case, including the investigation timeline and the DNA technology that helped them identify a suspect. Included are interviews with friends and family members of the victims, and an interview with Kaylee Goncalves’ father, in which he talks about her worries over a potential stalker. The episode info promises “chilling new details” about the case.

Dog Gone (Netflix)

Rob Lowe stars in this new Netflix movie based on the true story of a man who lost his dog while hiking the Appalachian Trail near McLean, Virginia, in 1998. The dog, named Gonker, had a serious medical condition and finding him became a matter of life and death. It was filmed on Stone Mountain in Georgia.
