Here’s what’s on TV tonight.

Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story (8 p.m., Lifetime)

This week’s Lifetime movie is based on the true story of serial wife killer Randy Roth, convicted of murdering his fourth wife, Cynthia Baumgartner Roth, in Washington state in 1991, but also suspected of murdering his second wife, Janis Roth, 10 years earlier. The motive in the murder/murders was the collection of life insurance money.

Roth’s many crimes were the subject of a book by noted true crime novelist Ann Rule, called “A Rose for Her Grave.”

Colin Egglesfield plays Randy Roth in the Lifetime movie, and Laura Ramsey plays Cindy/Cynthia. Chrishell Stause plays Cindy’s best friend, Lori, who is suspicious of the circumstances surrounding Cindy’s death and looks into Randy’s past.

Carolina Hurricanes vs. Washington Capitals: Stadium Series (8 p.m., ABC)

If you’re not there in person for tonight’s outdoor NHL hockey game at Carter-Finley Stadium, you can watch on TV — where it’s warmer.

Is Saturday Night Live new this week?

No, NBC’s comedy sketch show is taking a break, returning Feb. 25 with host Woody Harrelson.

Some programming descriptions are provided by networks.
