Here’s what’s on TV tonight.

Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman (8 p.m., Lifetime)

Last weekend, Lifetime aired “Mary J. Blige’s Real Love,” a movie about a young couple — Kendra and Ben — who fall in love while attending a fictional HBCU in North Carolina. Kendra (Ajiona Alexus) is a scholarship student and Ben (Da’Vinchi) comes from a more prominent family, and the two face many hardships that challenge and ultimately end their relationship.

“Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman” is the sequel to “Real Love,” picking up the story of Kendra and Ben more than 15 years later. Now, Kendra is professionally successful but in a failing marriage, and Ben re-enters her life at this crucial point.

The film series cast also includes Princess Davis, Austin Anozie, Millan Tesfazgi, Shiraine Haas, Garfield Wilson and Hamza Fouad.

How to watch “Real Love”: If you missed “Real Love” last week, it repeats tonight at 6 p.m., right before “Strength of a Woman.”
